Bio

I am Lecturer of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing at Imperial College London. My research is focused on machine learning algorithms for language representation, transfer learning, semi-supervised learning and multi-task optimisation. My work has been applied on projects around language assessment, grammar correction, automated document analysis, modelling sustainability initiatives in industry, predicting healthcare outcomes based on patient data, and others. I received my PhD from Cambridge in 2013 and I spent some time working in SwiftKey, researching neural machine learning models for mobile platforms.
